The Cuckoo House in central Da Nang City, inspired by the famous clock, looks like an old fortress from a distance.
Built on a 300 square meter plot of land, the house has a coffee shop on the ground floor. Architects with Tropical Space named the building “Cuckoo House” for the design’s likeness to the cuckoo clock.
The exterior and interior of the building have exposed brick walls. The clay bricks are made central region, giving the building a hardy, rustic look.
The building is divided into three blocks and connected with buffer layers.
The house’s base is used as a coffee shop with an outdoor garden.
The arched walls give the building a classic look.
Three separate functional areas are linked by buffer spaces that can also be used for a variety of different functions.
The master bedroom is located on the upper-floor of Block A with bathrooms and walk-in closets at the lower level.
Block B is the largest, having the children’s bedrooms on the upper floor and the living room at the lower level.
The distinctive design of this house has been featured in international architecture websites like Designboom and Archdaily.
