Meeting with the Moc Chau district leaders, Phong recognised and applauded the locality for having followed the right path set by the UN in its sustainable hunger eradication and poverty reduction.

Not just Moc Chau but other districts of the province have also effectively implemented afforestation associated with the farming of fruit trees in service of economic development, she said, asking Moc Chau to utilise its favourable natural conditions in order to develop tourism attached to the people’s livelihoods in a sustainable fashion.

The district was told to ensure a clean and healthy environment to attract investment in tourism, pay attention to healthcare for locals in remote, isolated and border areas, and prioritise the development of organic fruit and vegetables and high-quality fruit trees to improve the people’s income, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction in the locality.
