Drew Brees and the Saints are marching on.
New Orleans rallied from 14 points down in the first quarter Sunday to beat the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles 20-14 in an NFC divisional game at the Superdome. The Saints will host the Rams in the NFC Championship game next week.
Brees’ 2-yard touchdown pass to Michael Thomas with 1:44 to play in the third quarter put New Orleans ahead for good at 17-14. The Saints had a chance to ice the game, but Will Lutz missed a 52-yard field goal with 2:53 left.
Nick Foles and the Eagles were unable to find anymore playoff magic. On the ensuing drive, his pass to Alshon Jeffery was intercepted by Marshon Lattimore, sending the Saints to the next round.
The Eagles led 14-0 with 4:37 to play in the first quarter after Foles ran for a 1-yard touchdown.
